4D Sequencing

In the form of scheduling data, 4D BIM adds an additional dimension of information to a project information model. These data are added to the components that are detailed as the project progresses. This information can be used to obtain accurate program information and visualizations showing the sequential development of your project.

Planners should be able to develop an accurate project program with time information federated in the shared information model. With the data linked to the graphical representation of components / systems, project information can be easily understood and queried, and it can also be shown how construction develops sequentially over time, showing how a structure appears visually at each stage.
